Dr Nadine Page

Equine Veterinary Surgeon

Nadine’s areas of special interest and expertise lie in Sports Horse Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Artificial Breeding. Nadine grew up in Hong Kong, spending many years seeing practice with the Hong Kong Jockey Club racing vets. It was here that her passion for Sports Horse Medicine began. Nadine graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2011. She undertook a world renowned Reproduction Internship at Keros AI and Embryo Transfer centre, Belgium. Followed by a year in general equine practice in Finland. Nadine then moved to Cheshire to work in a busy equine clinic where she regularly attended race meetings at Chester, Bangor-On-Dee and Aintree's Grand National, in addition to looking after a number of race yards, and several big competition yards. Today Nadine looks after equines of all shapes and sizes, from pleasure horses to British team event horses, and many high performing racehorses. Nadine heads up our Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer side of the practice, as well as spending a large proportion of her time treating and managing lameness and performance issues. Nadine is a FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian.

Dr Rupert Gunstone

Equine Veterinary Surgeon

Rupert’s areas of special interest and expertise lie in Thoroughbred Breeding and Equine Surgery. Rupert graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, in 1987. He began his working career in Racehorse practice in Randwick Australia, before returning to the UK to work in Reproduction practice, working for John Newcombe. For many years Rupert took care of stud clients in the Midlands and worked the southern hemisphere stud seasons in Australia and Zimbabwe. In 1997 Rupert began running an equine hospital in Saudi Arabia. As well as continuing his work in stud and foal medicine, he was able to develop and hone his skills in both colic and orthopaedic surgery. Rupert heads up our Thoroughbred Breeding program, breeding over 200 mares a year.
 

Fiona Thompson

Practice Manager

Fiona joined us as Practice Manager in 2023. Fiona joins us with extensive experience having worked in Equine Veterinary Practice for 19 years. Fiona organises our day to day diary, deals with client queries and payments over the phone, she manages insurance claims and keeps our vets and our office organised! Fiona has been around horses from a young age, starting out with riding school and college horses, borrowing friends horses to hack and in recent years now owning her own. Fiona is currently enjoying bringing on her own youngster Jax. We’re incredibly lucky to have Fiona as part of our team.
 

Johanna Brindley

Radiologist & Veterinary Nurse

Johanna joined our team in 2019, as our specialist consultant radiologist. Johanna is also a qualified veterinary nurse. She assists our vets with taking and reading x-rays, as well as general anaesthetic surgical procedures. Johanna is also heavily involved with our practical Equine First Aid training course. Johanna has spent almost 30 years working in diagnostic imaging, both in the veterinary and human fields. She worked as diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy lead at the University of Liverpool, Large Animal Hospital, for 11 years, where she ran and taught the use of X-ray, MRI, CT and scintigraphy. Johanna has owned horses all her life and ridden competitively, most recently competing and judging western riding.
 

Emma Rance

Emma joined our team in 2016. Her incredible organisation keeps the practice running smoothly. Emma was nominated in the 2021 Veterinary Awards for Support Staff Member of the Year. Prior to joining us, Emma managed accounts for a number of businesses. She deals with all aspects of our accounts, as well as business development, organising client evenings and marketing. Many of you will have spoken to Emma on the phone or met her when attending one of our client evenings. Each of our team own/ ride their own horses. Emma is no exception, helping to care for her daughters gorgeous horse Spud.
